Overview:
“Bridging Divides” is a podcast series dedicated to exploring the complexities of peace building in the Great Lakes Region. The series aims to shed light on the diverse challenges, initiatives, and success stories in the region while fostering a deeper understanding of the dynamics that contribute to sustainable peace, majorly being Faith, Hope and Love as presented by the Jesus Christ and the role of the church.
Approach to the Podcast
Through in-depth interviews, expert analysis, and compelling storytelling, the podcast seeks to inspire positive change and encourage dialogue among; the youth, policymakers, and the global audience. This will create a safe space for conversation among contending parties, as well as, opportunity for outreach, truth telling, reconciliation and direct interaction with victims of conflict.
There is no shed light on the diverse challenges, initiatives, and success stories in the region which is meant to foster a deeper understanding of the dynamics that contribute to sustainable peace, majorly being Faith, Hope and Love as presented by the Jesus Christ and the role of the church.
Through the Great Lakes Youth Initative for peace in the region, the NCSA participated in the REACH OUT, REACH HIGH contest to create for peace in the Great Lakes region by doing a podcast called, “Bridging Divides; Peace in the Great Lakes Region”.
By focusing on the unique context of the Great Lakes Region and giving voice to local perspectives, “Bridging Divides” aims to foster a greater understanding of peace building efforts and inspire action towards a more peaceful and prosperous future in the Great Lakes region.
